Styles

Patio door styles we build

Sliding

Sliding patio doors

Panels glide past each other, so nothing swings into the room or onto the deck. The most space-efficient option for decks, balconies and tight living areas.

Swing

French & swing patio doors

Hinged doors that open fully for a wide, classic opening. A natural fit for traditional homes and for pairing with sidelites.

Folding

Bi-fold & folding systems

Multiple panels fold and stack to open most of a wall to the yard. The statement option for kitchens and great rooms that open onto a patio.

Choosing

Sliding, swing or folding?

Start with how much room you have and how wide you want the opening.

Choose sliding if floor space is tight or furniture sits near the door.
Choose swing (French) for a traditional look and a full-width opening on a standard-size wall.
Choose folding when you want to open most of a wall and have room for the panels to stack.

Not sure? Our door materials guide and cost guide explain how material and glass affect price.

Built For BC

Made to measure in Surrey

Every patio door is built to your exact opening in our Surrey workshop, so replacing an older slider in a non-standard opening doesn't mean reframing the wall. We deliver and install across Surrey, Langley, Delta, White Rock, Burnaby, Richmond, Vancouver and Abbotsford.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you replace existing patio doors?

Yes. We build the new patio door to fit your existing opening, remove the old door and install the new one. Non-standard sizes are not a problem because every door is made to measure.

Which is better, a sliding or a French patio door?

Sliding doors save floor space because nothing swings open. French doors give a wider, more traditional opening but need clear space for the doors to swing. The right choice depends on your room layout.

Can you build a folding door that opens a whole wall?

Yes. Bi-fold systems use multiple panels that fold and stack to one or both sides, opening most of the wall to your patio or yard.
